An awareness programme on value addition and marketing of mushroom was conducted with Knowledge Systems and Homestead Agriculture
Management in Tribal Areas (KSHMATA) beneficiaries in Kukidolong village of Dimapur district on 11/07/2024 under the Action Plan for 100 days of KVK’s.
 The training programme was initiated with an informative interaction by Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, CTO Animal Science. Later, Dr. Chingakham Sima Chanu,
SMS Home Science led an insightful session on prospects of mushroom processing, drying of mushrooms, preparation of mushroom powder and mushroom pickle.
Following this, Miss Marneni Divya Sree, SMS Agricultural Extension conducted awareness programme with a focus on the market demand, mushroom marketing aspects and linkages.
Dr. Bendangla Imsong, CTO Plant Breeding, provided valuable insights and solutions tailored to the challenges faced by women farmers and SHGs.
Later the KVK personnel visited the low cost mushroom production unit. The programme was concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Moanaro, Programme Assistant, KVK Dimapur. The farmers expressed great satisfaction and gained valuable insights.
